Jobs List FAQ
Our Jobs List is a key resource for individuals looking for positions in scholarly publishing, providing information on our members' job openings and internship programs. Posting job listings and internship openings is open only to AAUP member presses. Login here to post jobs.
For Job Posters
Why does our press's original Jobs List login not work?
As of September 6, 2013, access to the Jobs List has been integrated with individual website access, making AAUPnet.org navigation easier and faster. If you have registered for access to AAUP members-only web content, use this account to edit your press's job postings. The previous press-wide accounts have been suspended. If you do not already have a account on aaupnet.org, register here.
I am a headhunter or institutional HR manager tasked with posting a job for an AAUP member. Can I gain access to that press's job listing?
Unfortunately, only staff at member presses may currently access the administrative functions of the Jobs List. Please contact the press and request that someone on staff post the job here.
I work for an organization that is not a member of AAUP. Can we post our jobs here?
The AAUP Jobs list is open only to job postings from member organizations. See the list of members here, and learn more about becoming a member.
I now work for a different press than when I originally registered for website access, how can I update that?
How do I add formatting to my post, such as bold, italics, links, etc.?
The updated Jobs List provides editing icons for the "Description" field. Other elements, such as the job title and press name, are presented in standard formats for clean presentation. Note that the "Email" field is automatically hyperlinked.
For Job Seekers
I have a question about a job that is or was posted here.
AAUP manages the Jobs List platform but not the hiring process. Each press is responsible for their own listings. Contact the press that posted the job with any questions.
Where else can I find jobs in publishing?
The AAUP Jobs List is the central resource for university press opportunities, but more can be found on our Career Resources page.
