The AAUP Business Handbook
The original AAUP handbook, this was created by a special task force of business and financial managers from the community. In 2009, the task force transferred the Handbook contents to the AAUPWiki.

The AAUP Marketing Handbook
Inspired by the Business Handbook, the AAUP Marketing Committee developed this professional reference covering topics in marketing, sales, and publicity. Updated in 2013, new articles cover areas of ebooks and digital marketing.

Best Practices for Peer Review
The Acquisitions Editorial Committee developed this handbook of best practices for the conduct of peer review for scholarly monographs through expertise, interviews and surveys, and well-considered consensus. A resource meant for editors, publishers, universities, and authors.

Editorial Board Resources
Including sample governance documents and an environmental survey of press editorial board procedures, membership, and governance.

Digital Monograph Costing Tool
The Costing Tool, based on the study methodology used in the February 2016 Ithaka S+R "Costs of Publishing Scholarly Monographs" report, consists of an Excel workbook, where presses can enter their data, and see the results by title or in the aggregate. The accompanying User’s Guide offers step-by-step instructions on how to gather the information needed. An open resource.

Small Press Toolkit
While the majority of AAUP programs and resources offer something for member presses of all sizes, smaller presses often have concerns of special interest. This is a quick guide to some of the most relevant resources and programs designed for or of particular use to these members.

Crisis Management Toolkit
Member presses occasionally find themselves under fire, either from administrations in difficult economic times or from the vagaries of politics at the local, state, and even national level. The guides and tools available here are useful not just during a crisis but in planning for such eventualities.

Design & Production Toolkit
A small collection of guidelines and tools for the design and production workflow.

Eco-Publishing Toolkit
A collection of resources and links to help scholarly publishers develop eco-friendly practices.
